Christ Crucified for Complete Salvation
Why we Preach Jesus Christ and Him Crucified to Christians!
Jesus Christ and Him Crucified is the power of God unto Salvation. Rom 1:16 for I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. Matt 10:7-8 “And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead and cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. “And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’
The Churches today need to preach Jesus Christ and Him crucified in order for salvation for the lost and for the body of Christ to enter into a full salvation. The first thing that Preachers need to say is: The Kingdom of God is present. Without the presence of the Kingdom of God the Church will not be able to connect with Christ. The Kingdom of God is complete and has everything Christians need to live for Christ and this Kingdom rules over all others.
Why do we make up our own words to say when we preach the Gospel? The Bible tells us exactly what to say. Ministers of the Gospel need first to get with God and be equipped to heal and cast out demons. 2 Tim 3:17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Tim 2:21 Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.
Salvation is not just a ticket to Heaven but an ongoing work of God to make believers complete and whole knowing all that God has done for them so they can live a life pleasing to God and sharing with others the goodness of God. There are 4 New Testament verses that state that we are being saved. This is one of them: 1 Cor 1:18 for the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
When a person first believes in Christ and the Gospel and accepts Christ into their life – then they are born-again by the Holy Spirit but they are not a complete person until they enter into a full salvation. God wants us completely saved and it will not happen without the Preaching of the Cross to Christians as well as non-believers.
Take for example a new believer who is sick or has some kind of disease or ailment. They need salvation from sickness. The preacher needs to preach the Cross so that the sick will be healed. Here is one scripture that needs to be preached and there are many more: 1 Pet 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
Say a new believer has constant trouble in their life like losing the job, family disputes, house and car fall apart – and then how do we deal with this. The Preacher needs to preach the Cross and break those curses off one’s life. See: Gal 3:13 - 14 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
The only message that really matters is the preaching of the Cross. 1 Cor 2:2 for I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. You can preach on the Cross every sermon you preach for 100 years or more and still not cover everything that God has for the believer in Christ. The preaching of the Cross should be the only message that Ministers and Christians should proclaim.
Christians need power from God to live a Godly life and to be a witness for Christ. Gal 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Christians need to know that their old nature was crucified at the Cross. If the Preacher does not preach it then they cannot be saved from their old nature.
Christians need the power to be a witness for Christ. Act 1:8 “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” In Acts Chapter 2 the Holy Spirit came and rested upon each of them and they spoke with other tongues. They all were baptized in the Holy Spirit. If no one preaches this or tells believers what they can have then there will be no salvation in this area of life.
See: Act 19:2 he said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” So they said to him, “We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.” This is why it is extremely important to preach the Cross of Christ In all areas of life. The center of the Bible is Isa chapter 53 writing about the Cross. All of scripture is related to the message of the Cross and should be preached from the view point of the Cross.
In fact when you preach the Word of God and the Gospel and signs, wonders and miracles do not follow then you are in the flesh and not in the Spirit. Mar 16:20 and they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
